October 2016 Field Trip
to Farmers Branch Gardens

The RRRS Meeting / Field Trip on October 22, 2016 The event was a trip to The Rose Garden of Farmers Branch, Texas. It was to be a photography tour, a pleasure tour or a tour to take cuttings for propagation purposes, whatever you prefer. Propagation instructions will follow in a separate message. The group met at Albertson’s in Sherman and drove to Framers Branch, stopping at a Shell gas station for a Texmex fill up. It was a gorgeous day, sunny with a cooling breeze. On arrival the group split up and did their thing, primarily searching and securing cuttings for propagation. The roses were still in bloom, often past their best, good for cuttings, but was difficult to get some good blooms for photography. At about noon the group headed for a picnic table for lunch and then heading back to Sherman. Photographs by James Rogers
