Celebrating Our Successes!

Red River Rose Society members have so much to be happy about these past 16 months! Not only was our hosting of the South Central District Consulting Rosarian Seminar this past March a huge feat, and our Rose Sale a whopping success, but we had many individual accomplishments to honor as mentioned in Jerry Haynes' President's Message this month.

Take a bow Roses on the Red for your second gold medal—this time in the Electronic Bulletin Division for membership size greater than 75. Now we need to live up to that membership number!

This award wouldn't be possible without the contributions of all our fine writers, photographers, and members who provide suggestions and input! Bouquets of roses to all of you!

Our own Webmaster, Jay Goode, won an Honorable Mention as editor of the Collin County Rose Society newsletter. Way to go!

I am so proud of the 2010 Award of Merit Winners: Jerry Haynes, Carolyn Hayward, and Sue Zanne Petersen. Your creative talents are huge!

Hats off to RRRS members Don and Brenda Johnson for receiving the highly coveted Silver Honor Medal, Virginia Carpenter for being named the 2010 Outstanding Consulting Rosarian, and Richard McGowan for being selected for the RRRS Bronze Medal Honor Winner! Each award is a treasure!

The Red River Rose Society is truly special. There is such a feeling of good will and helpfulness among the members. Please continue to be an active part of our family. Share your talents, your ideas and your good wishes—we need each and every one!
